Don't be shy, come say 'hi'!

G'day all

Postby davedel1 » Fri Jul 16, 2010 1:53 am

G'day, I'm David J Delaney (Dave) from down under in the land of Aus. I am a poet but have recently branched into memoire/short story writing, with one of my memoires already published in one of our larger universities journals.
I have self published 2 books of poetry in Australia & now with a 3rd, 100 poem compilation, titled 'Out of Australia' due for release any day now, my 1st published & printed in America.

I only started writing about 3.5 years ago & have never written any thing before this, my education was/is very limited & I was 15 years old when I reached 8th grade then left after 3 months to join the work force, already my poems have been published in numerous magazines, e-zines, newspapers, anthologies & 2 poems placed on youtube, I also like to perform my poetry, when asked, at different venues & occasions locally here in Cairns & I have recorded many for our local ABC radio station.

I primarily write rhyme, but, am enjoying gradually learning all the different forms of poetry including free verse, sonnets, Haiku & Tanka to name some.

I hope you enjoy my writings & please feel free to google my name. ;)

Hello, Dave, and welcome to Writers' Dock. :)

I'm letting you in - I hope you enjoy looking around the site, and posting on the public threads, which you will be able to do straight away.

Apart from the open forums, you'll find there are some closed groups, and if you want to join any of those, you'll need to PM the moderator in charge. If you need any other help, just ask (though there is a Help section that may do the trick), and here are the forum rules viewtopic.php?f=143&t=2360.
